A special motorcade will wind its way through the streets of Victoria today to commemorate the life of RCMP Constable Sarah Beckett.
Westshore RCMP says a motorcade carrying her body will leave Victoria General Hospital close to noon.
Then accompanied by Saanich Police, West Shore RCMP, and possibly many other police detachments, the motorcade will make its way to the Victoria Airport.
Police won’t say where her body is going but the plane will fly out of the airport at around one this afternoon.
Constable Sarah Beckett was killed early Tuesday morning when her cruiser was
T-boned by a pick up truck at a Langford intersection.
The driver of the truck was arrested but then released without being charged, although the criminal investigation continues.
