More than four hundred people worked up a sweat at Richmond’s Olympic Oval to raise funds for the BC Cancer Association.
Hundreds of people gathered in the gym for the Workout to Conquer Cancer event.
Lou Del Gobbo with the BC Cancer Association says the event helps in more than one way.
“Our goal is twofold, is to raise awareness of the BC Cancer Foundation’s work here in B.C. and also to raise funds for cancer research.”

Almost $1.3 million dollars have been raised since the event first started four years ago.
More than 26,000 British Columbians will be diagnosed with cancer this year.
