Tonight it’s Eli Goulding, at the end of April it’s Rihanna.
International superstars are making their tour rounds at Rogers Arena, prompting the Vancouver Police Department to issue another warning about ticket scams.
Constable Brian Montague says you should take extra caution if you’re purchasing on Craigslist, and if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.
“There is far more than a handful of people committing this type of offence. It’s extremely lucrative, there is no cost on the offender’s end for doing this, the crime is relatively easy to commit if you have some basic equipment.”
Montague suggests buying tickets online through the ticket company’s electronic transfer service.
Another idea is to meet the seller at the event to have them tickets scanned at the door.
