Seven years later, the search for Wendy Ladner-Beaudry’s killer continues.
Now her family is hoping a cash reward will help get the break in the case they need.
Former Vancouver City Councillor Peter Ladner spoke for his family as they announced a $30,000 reward for information that leads to arrests and charges in the death of his sister, killed while jogging in Pacific Spirit Park.
A case of stranger-on-stranger violence?
It happened in the afternoon of April 3rd, 2009.
“We know someone out there knows something, knows someone has heard something, or they’ve been suspicious about someone. Or they’re protecting someone. Our biggest hope is that if you are that person, you will hear this, and come forward.”
Police say they’ve eliminated 300 persons of interest in a case that shocked Vancouver’s West side, and still believe this was a case of stranger-on-stranger violence.
The reward announced today expires in one year.
300 persons of interest have already been ruled out in the death of Ladner-Beaudry. #RCMP say that's not rare.— Charmaine de Silva (@char_des) April 1, 2016
