Discount airline NewLeaf Travel is officially allowed to go to air.
The Canadian Transportation Agency has issued a ruling saying in essence the airline doesn’t need a air licence to operate.
That is because NewLeaf will use a Kelowna based airline and its fleet of jets to get people from one place to another.
The CTA says NewLeaf is good to go as long as it doesn’t try to pass itself off as an air carrier operating an air service.
NewLeaf had suspended operations while the CTA conducted its review.
No word yet on if and when it will resume selling budget flights, some as low as just $89.00, across the country.
