Only 39-percent of members, including tenure-stream faculty, contract faculty, librarians and archivists, and program directors actually voted.
800 members voted in favour of the non-confidence motion. 494 against it.
The non-confidence motion comes amidst a scandal around the departure of former UBC president Arvind Gupta, and the resignation of former Board of Governors Chair John Montalbano.
