In a recently published interview on Vox.com, Justin Trudeau sat down with senior correspondent Liz Plank in a New York cafe to talk about the politics, parenthood, and self-identifying as a feminist.
He told Plank he talks about being a feminist as often as he can.
“And every time I do, it gets huge reaction, and media reacts, and Twitter-verse explodes because here I am – saying I’m a feminist. I will keep saying that until there is no more reaction.”
You can watch the full interview below:
“If you’re progressive, you really should be a feminist because it’s about equality, it’s about respect…”
At the end of the interview, Plank told our Canadian leader about Ryan Gosling’s feminist meme and how a study found that men who were exposed to the meme were more likely to identify with feminist beliefs.
“Would you be willing for us to use a photo of you and put the feminist meme…?”
