Those chants echoed outside CBC Vancouver today where about 30 protesters rallied following the court’s decision to acquit former host Jian Gomeshi on four counts of sexual assault and one count of overcoming resistance by choking.

Keira Smith-Tague with Vancouver Rape Relief says they were unfortunately not surprised.
” We already expected that it was unluckily that he would be convicted but for some reason you hold on to the hope, you’ve got to hope that our criminal justice system will actually deliver justice”
She says although they’re disappointed with the Criminal justice system, they are happy the case started a national conversation about women and sexual abuse.
