Homicide investigators are in Mission this hour handling an unusual case.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says back on March 11th, a 53-year-old woman called Mission RCMP saying she had been assaulted one or two days earlier by a man walking through Fenn Park.
Ten days later, that victim was found dead at a home in the on 3rd Avenue near Grand st. in Mission.

Following an autopsy yesterday, IHIT has determined her cause of death appears linked to the injuries from the earlier assault.
The investigation is ongoing and IHIT is asking anyone with information to come forward.
Police are now looking for a suspect described as a 25-30 year old Caucasian man, about 5″9″ tall with brown hair and “piercing blue eyes.” Police say he was wearing a black hoodie and white running shoes at the time of the alleged assault.
