It’s the last remaining waterfront community on the downtown peninsula.
The Georgia and Dunsmuir viaducts’ future has been debated for more than a year, but the plans to demolish are still in the works.
The City of Vancouver says, starting in April, they hope to call for interest to form an advisory group, intended to guide the development of the False Creek area.
This comes after a report from Vancouver Park Board suggesting an advisory group for when the viaducts come down.
By-mid July, city council will be in charge of selecting who will be part of the group.
The city says negotiations with Concord Pacific and Victoria will begin once the project team has been formed and all the background information has been collected.
