Heading into the game with 5 straight losses under their belts, the Vancouver Canucks ultimately lost again in Thursday’s game against the Nashville Predators.
The game started promising – with an early goal from Bo Horvat a little more than 5 minutes in.
It was followed with a second goal, from Daniel Sedin with 5 minutes left, taking the Canucks into the second period 2-0.
The score would stay that way until halfway into the third period, when Nashville’s James Neal put a puck past Ryan Miller 12 minutes in.
Filip Forsberg evened the score to 2-2 with a little under 7 minutes left, ending the period with a tie.
After a scoreless overtime period, Jared McCann managed to get one goal in during the shoot-out, but it wasn’t enough.
Both Ryan Johansen and Craig Smith scored for Nashville during the shoot-out, ending the game 3-2.
The Canucks’ next game will be at home on Sunday, against the Chicago Blackhawks.
