Vincent Belcourt says he wants the driver of the grey Honda CRV to turn him or herself in.
“…the police are going to be knocking on your door.”
His wife Josie was killed March 14th, just before seven am on King George Boulevard at the 8300 block.
The Surrey RCMP released footage of the dark grey Honda CRV they say struck Josie Belcourt.
Vincent says his wife would forgive the driver, but he says leaving the scene was a cowardly act.
“If I had to say to him, seek help: there are lawyers, there are doctors, there are priests. Go see one and talk to them. Because the police are going to be knocking on your door.”
“I was a maintenance worker in the building, 6 months later we were married and I have been happy ever since that day, until March 14th.
Belcourt says they were moving from a trailer into a new home that day.
“It was a special day for us, we were all excited and happy that day, I never expected to wake up and deal with this.”
Vincent says he plans to return his wife’s ashes to her family in the Philippines.
