Vancouver Coastal Health is warning passengers on a flight from Beijing to Vancouver that they could be at risk of getting measles.
A passenger on Air China flight CA991 from Beijing arriving in Vancouver March 3rd at 9:30 a.m. developed symptoms of measles after their arrival.
That person was infectious during the flight.
If you were on the flight, or in the International arrivals area, make sure your vaccinations are up to date.
Those who are not fully immunized can get a vaccine for free at their doctor’s office, local Public Health unit or at a walk-in-clinic.
Symptoms would include fever, cough, pink eye, and a red rash.
