To say Prime Minister Trudeau’s first official visit to the US has been a success would be an understatement.
The First couples of both Canada and the United States appear to have hit it off like old kindred spirits during Thursday’s official visit and state dinner at the White House.
Photos of the glamorous state dinner are full of toasts and smiles, including a standing ovation for the Prime Minister’s mother, Margaret Trudeau, for her mental health advocacy.
Trudeau drew laughs when he made mention of the physical effects of leading a country in his toast to Obama.
“May my grey hair come in at a much slower rate than yours.”
“Our talented artists are a credit to Canada in the US & around the world.”
He also acknowledged the Canadian celebs in attendance, including Sandra Oh, Michael J. Fox, Mike Myers and Ryan Reynolds.
It was also clear, judging by the photos, that the Ministers in attendance enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
