The Prime Minister does not have a problem with his brother lobbying his government to not deport a terror suspect.
Justin Trudeau says his brother Alexandre is within his rights.
“I love my brother very much and he has the same rights that every Canadian has to advocate on the issues and causes that he believes in. We have a rigorous process on the government side and we will be following that process.”
Mohamed Harkat was arrested for being a suspect al-Qaida sleeper agent in 2002, an accusation he denies.
Harkat insists his life is in danger if he is deported back to Algeria.
