It’s a historic case of sexual misconduct.
A former Richmond teacher has lost his teaching certificate, 40 years after alleged sexual misconduct with female students.
Robert Robertson is accused of exploiting the vulnerability of three 15-16 year old girls by engaging in sexual relationships in 1976.
He is also accused of misrepresentation when he successfully applied for a new teaching job in Vancouver.
Now, 40 years later, a disciplinary panel at the Teacher Regulation Branch has ordered the director of certification to cancel his teaching certificate.
The panel says he used trust to feed his ego and his own sexual gratification, constituting “the antithesis of acting in the best interest of his students.”
Media reports indicate he is no longer living in B.C.
