The Coroner’s Office has released a statement about a Stanley Cup Rioter who died while in Correctional care.
30-year old William Fisher was scheduled to be transferred to Pacific Institution in Abbotsford to begin serving a three-year term for his part in the riot.
The BC coroner’s office says he went into medical distress while at the North Fraser Pre-trial on Feb 22nd.
Fisher was transported to hospital in New Westminster where he died three days later.
Fisher was one of the last rioters to be sentenced, he was found guilty of several charges, including aggravated assault and taking part in a riot.
