Earlier Friday night CBS News reported Yoko Ono was in hospital after suffering a possible stroke.
A representative has since clarified she is in hospital with severe flu-like symptoms, and should be released from hospital soon.
Ono has recently turned 83, and was taken to Mt. Sinai West hospital from her home at the Dakota on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
Ono has lived in the building at 72nd Street and Central Park West since 1973. Her husband, John Lennon, was shot and killed in front of the building on Dec. 8, 1980.
The hospital, formerly St. Luke’s Roosevelt, is the same hospital where Lennon was pronounced dead.
