It was a great night for the Canucks, after nearly doubling the Senators 5-3.
Emerson Etem had the honour of putting the first puck into a net just over 4 and a half minutes into the first period, starting the game with Vancouver 1-0.
Mike Hoffman answered the goal a few minutes later, with just over 10:30 left in the first period.
It wouldn’t be until late in the 2nd when Mark Stone would briefly pull the Senators ahead 2-1 with barely 7 minutes left, but Matt Bartkowski had different ideas – pulling the Canucks even with just 5:35 left.
The third period saw the floodgates open for the Canucks, with Bartkowski scoring again with 16 minutes left on the clock, followed by Jake Virtanen on a Power Play with less than 10 minutes to go.
Bobby Ryan pulled the Senators ahead with another goal a scant three minutes later, ending the second period 3-2.
In true full-circle fashion, Emerson Etem put the final nail in the coffin with just 30 seconds to go, taking the Canucks to their 5-3 victory.
The Canucks will have a couple days off, and hit the ice on Sunday to host the San Jose Sharks at 4PM.
