An internal Facebook memo written by founder Mark Zuckerberg to his employees addressing what he calls malicious behavior was leaked online today.
In the memo, Zuckerberg describes instances of people crossing out “black lives matter” and replacing it with “all lives matter”, and says crossing out something means silencing speech.
The incidents have been taking place on the signature wall at the Menlo Park headquarters in California.
According to Facebook’s own statistics, only 2% of their US employees identify as black.
Zuckerberg closed the memo encouraging all employees to attend a town hall to learn more about the Black Lives Matter movement.
