No surprise here, but Vancouver’s mayor was the biggest spender on city council last year.
The numbers are out, and Mayor Gregor Robertson racked up the highest overall tab for 2015 at more than $39,000.
More than half of that came in the form of travel and conference expenses worth $22,039.
A staff report shows Robertson went to Paris twice, Vatican City, New York and China.
He also represented the city at meetings in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and Edmonton.
Deputy Mayor Andrea Reimer had the second highest travel bill, with almost $11,000 including trips to London and Paris.
Councillor Heather Deal had the second highest overall expense tab, coming in at just over $14,000.
The lowest spender was Councillor Geoff Meggs, with total expenses of just $5,040 and travel expenses of just under $607.
Overall the mayor and council cost taxpayers $62,800 in travel expenses.
The mayor earned more than $160,000.
Total salaries were tallied at $904,000.
