Do you have Treo account and still get your bill in the mail?
The Crown Corporation that manages the Port Mann Bridge is offering incentives to drivers, at a time it’s facing steep revenue shortfalls.
Greg Johnson with the Transportation Investment Corporation says Treo members can get a $10 credit if they switch from paper to email billing before March 15th.
“We have about one million registered customers right now and half of them are on email paperless billing and the other half still receive their invoices by mail. That costs a lot of money so we are trying to reduce that.”
“The more customers that use e-bill are going to help lower our costs, increase efficiency, and also help the environment.”
Meanwhile, it was revealed in last week’s budget that the bridge will lose $100 million a year for the next three years. But Johnson insists traffic numbers, and therefore tolling revenue, is slowly increasing.
