The College that regulates massage therapists in BC wants the North Vancouver RCMP to hand over documents related to a sexual assault investigation involving one of their members.
A woman claims she was sexually touched while getting an upper body massage from Craig Ronald Hall at North Shore Sports Medicine in April 2013.
Hall was criminally charged with one count of sexual assault- but later acquitted.
Now the College of Massage Therapists of BC has filed a petition in B.C. Supreme Court demanding the North Vancouver RCMP detachment give them access to a transcript of the criminal trial and other relevant documents.
The College says it’s in an effort to determine if Hall violated their ethical code of conduct.
Hall will face a disciplinary hearing, but the date and location have yet to be determined.
