Another loss for the Vancouver Canucks.
Less than 90 seconds into the first period, the Flames opened the floodgates with Joe Colborne drawing first blood.
Nearly 10 minutes later Adam Cracknell answered for the Canucks, tying the game 1-1.
With almost 4 minutes left in the first period, Jake Virtanen put the Canucks up 2-1 heading into the second period.
A little more than two minutes into the second period was when the Flames started to roar back, with Mikael Backlund scoring the first goal of the second period.
Michael Frolik scored a second, with just under 14:30 on the clock – and Mark Giordano scoring another with just 52 seconds left in the second period, leaving the Flames ahead 4-2 heading into the third.
Josh Jooris put the final shot of the game past Markstrom with 17 minutes left on the clock, securing a 5-2 Flames victory… and marking a fourth straight 5-2 loss for the Canucks.
The Canucks will play the Colorado Avalanche at Rogers Arena on Sunday at 7pm.
