A limousine driver has lost an appeal of his convictions after a night on the town went horribly wrong.
According to court documents, Hardyal Dhanoa had picked up a group of drunk young adults who had been partying in downtown Vancouver one night in March 2013.
When they got to the North Shore, things went sideways.
There was a dispute, words were exchanged and Dhanoa was accused of spraying bear mace.
In the end, he was convicted of dangerous driving and assault with a weapon.
He argued the trial judge erred when not considering the use of the bear spray as self-defence.
Dhanoa appealed the convictions but has lost.
