Vancouver police are investigating a series of assaults in the Oakridge neighbourhood.
A 23-year-old woman was tackled from behind on Jan. 23 and hit in the face while she was walking from the Langara Canada Line station.
The man ran away as she started screaming for help.
About two weeks later, on Feb. 4, a 67-year-old woman was out walking near Columbia Park when police say she saw a man hiding behind a tree.
He walked up to her and punched her in the face and head. Again, the suspect ran off when the woman yelled for help.
Police say it’s unclear if the events are connected.
The suspect descriptions are similar: a balding, white man in his 30s or 40s.
