The housing market in British Columbia is off to a red-hot start to 2016.
The BC Real Estate Association is reporting a 33.2% increase in sales in January,
compared to the same month last year.
Total sales dollar volume was up 69.1% to $4.39 billion, and the average residential price rose almost 26.9% to just under $752,906.
Association economist Brendon Ogmundson says heightened demand is being met with the lowest level of supply in a decade.
