The B.C. legislature resumes this week, with the Throne Speech set for tomorrow.
Though the speech itself is commonly a brief one, there’s plenty on the table up for discussion.
Already looming large is last week’s announcement Royal Dutch Shell would delay the Final Investment Decision on the LNG Canada project in Kitimat until the end of this year.
Premier Christy Clark’s promises on LNG pledged new jobs, and billions in government revenue.
That will likely come into question.
But the laundry list is fuller than that; changes to MSP premiums, more funding for the Ministry of Children and Family Development, climate change targets, and foreign ownership in a overheated housing market are also up for debate.
