A man in the Slocan Valley has been charged with animal cruelty for the fourth time.
Officials with the SPCA have seized twenty-nine animals in various states of distress from John Vieira, despite a ban on his ability to own animals.
Among the animals seized are sheep, goats, horses, and dogs, including two puppies.
The SPCA say the animals were kept in overcrowded, cramped conditions with many malnourished and suffering from medical issues including infections, heart problems, and eye infections.
The SPCA says it found also found the carcasses of dead horses, and a bull and goat.
Vieira is facing new charges of animal cruelty.
