On the eve of the Iowa caucuses, Insights West is out with a new poll that indicates 67% of the Canadians questioned think a Trump presidency would be “bad” for Canada, and 49% think it would be “very bad.”
British Columbians are particularly concerned, with 81% saying Trump would be “very bad”.
“It’s really astounding”
The words Mario Canseco or Insights West, talking about the poll’s BC results.
“And what it shows definitely we are more informed about U.S. campaigns than ever before. And the fact that we know who Donald Trump is makes it a lot easier for us to have views on what he’s doing and what he’s saying. And obviously that last 6 or 7 months have given us plenty of opportunities to be upset about the things he’s talking about”.
As for a Hillary Clinton presidency, the poll found 63% of British Columbians that she would be “good” or “very good” for Canada.
