Staff at the Vancouver Aquarium are denying multiple claims made in a new documentary circulating online about the facility’s whale and dolphin programs.
Clint Wright with the aquarium’s marine science centre says he’s disappointed with the release of Gary Charbonneau’s “Vancouver Aquarium Uncovered,” which claims to reveal cruelty and corruption.
“Misleading, false, outright lies in it. We were very open with him, we invited him, he badgered for us for an interview. We figured it would probably go this way.”
Wright calls the movie propaganda, but says there are no plans to sue.
Instead, aquarium staff are focusing on addressing concerns raised by anyone who comes to them, the best way they can.
