A Richmond soccer coach accused of abusive behaviour towards his players has had assault charges against him stayed.
Crown Counsel spokesperson Neil Mackenzie says 55-year-old Roberto Sciascia completed an alternative measures program, and now the case is considered closed.
“The branch doesn’t publicly disclose the elements that are involved in an individual alternative measures agreement generally. They’re structured to the particular circumstances of the individual case.”
But it does require Sciascia to have taken responsibility for the incidents. He will not have a criminal record.
Sciascia was accused by players of bullying, including yelling, grabbing and kicking.
