Vancouver Police say the city has seen it’s first pedestrian fatality of 2016.
At around 10:30 last night, an 81-year-old man was struck by a car while crossing on East Broadway between Main and Quebec.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but did not survive.
The driver, a 48-year-old man, has been cooperating with police.
Weather is believed to be a factor in the incident, speed and alcohol are not.
