Richmond RCMP says a man who was struck by a car on Tuesday morning has died.
The 69-year-old man was struck in while crossing in the 6000-block of Dyke Road just before 11:00.
He was taken to hospital, but has since passed away.
The driver, a 77-year-old, stayed at the scene, and is cooperating with police.
Speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the incident.
This is Richmond’s first pedestrian fatality of the year.
