Getting information out of Translink can be difficult at times, even if you file a Freedom of Information request.
Translink was sent an Freedom of Information request asking for more information on the Compass Card program.
Back in November, it was revealed there were some glitches with the hand-held devices used to read the cards.
It was also learned that while Transit security was using the devices, Transit Police were still testing them.
In response to the FOI, some of what’s come back is part of an mail that has been blacked out from the Director of Compass project management to six other Translink officials.
However, it’s clear enquiries did cause a stir, as the email talks about convening a team to sort through this reporter’s questions.
