It’s another ranking that shows Canada is pretty awesome.
U.S. News & World Report has teamed up with WPP’s BAV Consulting and the Wharton School to put out it’s first “Best Countries” rankings.
Canada gets top spot for quality of life
Overall, the list has Canada at #2, behind Germany. But when it comes to quality of life, we’re number one.
We’re number two for citizenship.
When it comes to raising kids, parental leave policies make us number 3, the same spot held on the retirement ranking, which credits generous health services.
Canada is #3 for being open for business, #4 for starting a new business, and takes 5th spot in the world for both entrepreneurship and for starting a career, especially in the tech sector.
We’re also the best place to headquarter a corporation, thanks to an attractive 26% combined corporate tax rate.
Categories that Canada didn’t make into the top ten include power, heritage, and cultural influence.
