Latest reports from Quebec say Senator Patrick Brazeau’s life is not in danger.
He was found in his home in Mayo, Quebec Monday night at 10pm.
He’s now in hospital in critical but stable condition.
Quebec provincial police do not think any criminal activity was involved.
Initial reports say he suffered grave injuries.
The 41-year-old is on a leave of absence with pay over disallowed housing expenses.
Last year, Brazeau was granted an unconditional discharge after pleading guilty to assault and cocaine charges in September.
