If you’ve been driving on the roads, you may have seen it – a drop in gas prices.
As of Friday, GasBuddy.com had prices at an average of 114 cents a litre in Vancouver, with the lowest prices as low as 110.
It’s a welcome sight after the average prices in the city were at 120 cents on Thursday, and 122 a week ago.
Gas Buddy senior oil analyst Dan McTeague says the drop in price is being attributed to the re-opening of a refinery in Washington.
But there’s not too much cause for celebration – other Canadian cities like Edmonton are still selling gas at under 80 cents a litre.
The average cost per litre in Canada is still 96.6 cents.
