6300 Syrian refugees have now arrived in Canada, with more on the way to BC.
More than 3400 are privately sponsored, more than 2400 are government assisted, and 430 Syrians came to Canada under the blended visa program.
An additional 5600 applications have been finalized, and more than 17-thousand are in progress.
Vancouver is expected to welcome the most Syrians in the province, with 44 applications finalized and nine already arrived.
Next up is Burnaby with 29 in the que, and 18 arrived, followed by Surrey at 17.
16 government-organized flights have landed in Toronto, and 8 in Montreal.
The liberal government has committed to welcoming 25-thousand Syrians by the end of next month.
