A fire at a home on the eastside of Vancouver has displaced one family on New Years Day.
Vancouver Fire and Rescue Deputy Chief Rob Renning says the single family home on Lily Street was fully involved when fire crews arrived on scene early Friday morning.
“We managed to keep the fire to one location through an aggressive fire attack, but the family is displaced.”
Renning says his investigators don’t have a cause nailed down yet.
“We have crews still active at the scene hitting hot spots.”
There are also reports of a vehicle fire Thursday night at Richards and Helmekin, in downtown Vancouver.
An Instagram post shows a limo caught on fire.
