The snowfall warning for Metro Vancouver may have been cancelled, but for many areas in the Lower Mainland the white stuff was falling anyway.
Even with the warning out of the way, a special weather statement was still in effect for much of the day, as a cold, wet front pushed through the region.
“Snowfall amounts will vary widely around Metro Vancouver with lesser amounts expected at lower elevations and a few centimetres over higher terrain and further inland. Additional amounts of 5 cm are possible this afternoon over portions of the Fraser Valley.”
The weather agency says the system should pass through by tonight.
But throughout the day, people around the region took to social media to share their pictures and video of the fleeting winter wonderland.
