With the holiday season in full swing, the Vancouver Canucks handed a gift to three of their most vocal fans.
Rookies Ben Hutton and Jake Virtanen joined Arielle Tuliao, Clay Imoo and Marie Hui in a holiday-themed video where the trio sang and rapped a parody of The Sound of Music’s A Few of My Favourite Things and Run DMC’s Christmas in Hollis.
The video was posted on Saturday and has already been viewed more than 13,000 times. Imoo has posted nearly two dozen Canucks videos on his own YouTube account, but this is the group’s first time teaming up with the team.
However, most of the comments have been about the young NHLers awkwardly dancing in the background.
“We shot that rap scene probably about six or seven times, so they were doing different moves, trying different things,” Imoo told the CBC.
The Canucks have lost four of the five games on their latest road trip and will be in Tampa Bay to end the trip tomorrow.
