A man has been sentenced to eight and a half years in prison for a gang-related shooting outside a night club six years ago.
Aram Ali was found guilty in October for his involvement in a targeted shooting.
In February 2009, two men left a Surrey night club and were shot at while driving away in their vehicle. One man was shot, but did survive.
A month later, Ali and others in the United Nations gang were charged with attempted murder. He was later found not guilty but convicted of aggravated assault.
Crown prosecutors were originally seeking a 12-year prison term.
