A group of students from Coquitlam’s Inquiry Hub Secondary School says they have the solution to help owners find their missing pets.
Laef Kucheran, Brandon Mayhew, Alin Kucheran, and Stefan Clarinval have designed an app called FindALostPet.
“We found that it’s really important to build an app so the users can be out in the field looking for the pet and still have access to the app to communicate with community members if they found the pet or if it’s still missing,” explained Brandon Mayhew.
In addition to creating an app, the students will also be building a website for owners to post their information and images of missing pets.
Both the website and the app will be free of charge to users.
The funds will be go towards paying for the website’s domain name, image storage space, hosting of the website, and securing the website.
