Get ready for another storm.
Environment Canada has issued a weather statement for Metro Vancouver and the rest of the south coast, saying heavy rain and high winds are coming tonight and tomorrow morning.
This hour 4700 customers remain without electricity because of yesterday’s windstorm, mostly in the Coquitlam and Maple Ridge areas.
At its height last night, the storm knocked out power for 43,000 customers on the Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast.
Strong winds pounded the Lower Mainland, knocking power out to thousands of homes yesterday.
BC Hydro says there are still about 1900 customers in the region without electricity.
At its peak, over 43,000 customers were in the dark.
BC Hydro continues to work to fix lines in remaining problem regions.
