The Abbotsford School District and local police say lockdowns are now lifted at two local schools, Robert Bateman Secondary and Clayburn Middle School.
Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a nearby house on Thursday, and wanted to make sure it didn’t spill over into neighboring schools.
By 3:20 pm, the lockdown was lifted.
Students and staff were safe.
On Friday morning, the suspects were identified as four 17 year old males.
The incident started at about 12:15 pm, when the APD received a 911 call about a disturbance in front of a residence in the 34000 block of Immel Street.
The APD says a man living at that location claimed four men were on his property, trying to start an altercation.
Abbotsford Police used their Facebook page to make regular updates on the situation as it unfolded.
