Green party leader Elizabeth May is hoping to use a new Facebook tool to give Canadians a window into the Paris COP21 climate change summit.
May will be using ‘Live for Facebook Mentions’ to broadcast live video from the meetings which kick off tomorrow.
The tool, which was launched in August, allows public figures to stream video directly to their followers’ newsfeeds. Viewers can also share and comment on the video while it’s being broadcast.
The party says May will be making regular updates from the conference from November 30th to December 11th, from Le Bourget Exhibition Centre in Paris.
Also broadcasting from the event will be Green party Climate Change critic and former CBC meteorolgist Claire Martin. Martin ran unsuccessfully for the party in North Vancouver in last month’s election.

It’s not clear when the first broadcasts will be, but the party says it will let the public know ahead of time.
