A fifteen year veteran of federal politics is the new Chancellor of the University of Northern British Columbia.
Former Port Moody/Port Coquitlam MP James Moore will be the new ceremonial head of the University where he graduated in 2001.
Moore, who just retired from a fifteen-year career in federal politics, says he is humbled and honored.
Moore served in a number of cabinet roles, including Minister of Industry and Regional Minister for British Columbia.
He’s now a Senior Business Advisor at the international law firm Dentons.
One of Moore’s primary duties will be granting degrees at annual Convocation ceremonies.
