The Premier is not only saying she’s welcoming Syrian refugees to B.C.
She’s also welcoming the new deadline for bringing them in.
With 10,000 of those to arrive in Canada by the end of the year, and another 15,000 in January and February, Clark says of those, 3,500 will be settled across B.C.
The province will also kick in for MSP and childcare.
“…but our hope is, like it is for all British Columbians, that they’ll be able to move into the workforce, find jobs as soon as possible and live the kind of fulfilling lives with dignity that a job gives you.”
Clark was speaking at the announcement of a civil works contract for the Site C Dam.
