The 6th annual Christmas Market opened today in Queen Elizabeth Plaza.
The German-inspired market is the brainchild of Malte Kleutz.
“What you imagine is a typically medieval backdrop in a typical German city.”
Despite entry prices at $8 an adult, people seem to love coming to the Christmas Market to sample the wares – like German gleuwine.
“It’s really different – and spiked with rum, it’s more I don’t know, Hawaiian. It’s nice. It warms your stomach.”
Kleutz recommends coming earlier in the season and on the weekdays as the market gets busier on weekends and closer to Christmas.
